Only 2 out of 5 of the un-named seeds from T & M have germinated for me.  The seeds were tiny and the seedlings look a bit thin and weedy... so i will not keep my fingers crossed.

One out of five for me, which I think is poor.  Seedling looked a bit weedy at first, but is making good growth now.

How are yours doing?

All five of my Experimental Tomato germinated, but only three survived.
Have planted one outside and the two in greenhouse are both similar to this.
Bit slower than all my other toms, but went in a bit later. Potting them on this weekend.

They look a lot healthier than the ones Monty planted out last week on GW!

2 out of 5 germinated for me. One is in the greenhouse and the other is outside. Both about 10 inch high.

My experimental tomatoes have just turned red.
Not the greatest cropper compared to all my other toms this year.

Out of the five seeds, only two plants survived, three just wilted a few weeks ago.
So far about five toms on each plant, poor showing.
Grew all mine oustide in pots.

I only had two germinate out of five seeds, and one of them snapped off at about two feet tall. It has at last grown another shoot from the base but no flowers yet.

The second plant looks pretty much like yours lettice. Other varieties are much stronger looking and fruiting very well, with several trusses set and ripening

Oh dear we did a taste test and tried the one that was ripe and ready.
Not the tastiest tomato, pretty bland really.
It was up against my red cherry, tumbling toms, moneymaker, Roma, San Marzano, Garden Pearl and golden sunshine that I also picked today.

Has anybody had any Blight on their tomatoes yet? I thought the idea with the free seeds was to grow things that were blight resistant but its a bit pointless if there's no blight.

I go some of the free Crimson Crush plants. They've grown (but not spectacularly) and they don't taste anything special either but none of my plants at the allotment have blight so I've no idea if the Crimson Crush are any better.

Blight, never seen it in all the many years I've grown tomatoes in the greenhouse or garden.
Not sure we get it down here on the south coast, never heard of it down here from neighbouring gardeners.
Tomatoes are pretty hardy for me, but some are just slow to mature and I just ditch them as there are always too many to pot up anyway.
Did the same with these test ones, but had a couple that were just not growing fast enough or looking taht strong, so I just ditched them and just kept two for the test reporting.

I was lucky and got 9 seeds which 7 germinated, I have grown 4 in the open on my plot and gave one away to another plot holder and the other 2  went in a friends greenhouse. I have to agree that they don't yield too many tomato's but one the 4 plants grown out side on my plot is covered in tomato's. they are still green at the moment so will have to wait and see. There is some tomato blight on the site at the moment.we always get it on our site.

Well the blight has arrived on our site big time and I have had to pull up most of my tomato's But the trial blight residence tomot plants are still going strong !!!! there was a Shirley plant next to them that I had to take out as it was covered in blight. we will need to see how long they last and how they taste.

Some things on the allotments looked a bit blighty last week, when I get up there tomorrow (fingers crossed) after all this wet weather, will see what's what!
