[Newbie]

As we have been delayed in getting our chickens the grass has grown under where their feet should be!  Will they like long grass or should we strim it for them a little?  It's about 4.5 inches long at the moment..... hubby is itching to make it nice, haven't told him that they'll have killed it in a matter of weeks....

From what I know/read here, get it strimmed or even better mown before they arrive - long grass can get caught up in their crops and become very nasty - either impacted or sour.  Especially for young birds that aren't used to grass...

Nice and short'll do it ... and that way you'll hardly notice it when its gone
