Hi all,

This is the first year i've had the plants (Raspberries, Blueberries, Blackcurrants) and I was just wondering if you would prune them this winter?

Blueberries have just had their 1st year of harvest (small)
Raspberries were bought as canes this year and harvest loads.
Blackcurrants - 1st year harvest (we got 2 currants between the 3 plants lol)

Also, would you prune all the raspberry canes to 6in from the ground??? seems a bit brutal :/

oh yeah...second pics shows raspberries. 2 back ones is terracotta pots (6ft) harvested this year. 2 front ones in black and green pots we're delivered late this year and didn't have time to fruit.

Blueberries need little pruning other than removing crossing branches or to thin out bunches a bit.
Raspberries, assuming they're summer bearing, can be pruned in the spring so they aren't weather damaged during winter. But some folk like to prune them now, so prune out all stems that fruited this year (brown wood) and leave the green ones.
Blackcurrants fruit on new wood so you can trim back this year's growth almost to the ground and leave any new growth starting up. Here's more info:
