Hi i was just wondering if anyone can help me, one of my silkies has yuky eyes, its a thick and goopy and is covering her eyes from what i have been reading it seems like a respiratory infection, we have given her eyes a clean with a salt water solution and cleared them up ( for the time being anyhow) has anyone else had this problem and if so have i done the right thing or is the something else i should be doing, Thanks

Your best bet would probably be getting her to the vet where they can prescribe something for it. It most likely is a respiratory infection such as mycoplasma. Is the hens face swollen as well? I had two birds have bubbly eyes which then completely closed over and scabbed over as well. My birds managed to pull through fine by theirselves but its best if you can get something for them!
