Only had the new girls for 3 days and was sitting on back door step watching them mess about and then the Lavender Pekin (she was called Lilly but now is called Baby)  hopped on to the step and then jumped onto my knee and snuggled under my arm, next thing the orpy banty jumped up to join her and snuggled too, so obviously feeling lonely the Salmon Pekin joined in and jumped up as well.  I am flabbergasted!!! I let them snuggle in for 10 minutes and then put them to bed.       As I said Wow wow wow.     AND got a wee egg off Baby today.  How good is that

Must have power nap qualities in the chill out factor - 10 minutes with them on your knee is equal to 1 hour sat without them.   :)

Oh that's lovely, Jinty!   :)

Now I'm jealous - I would like some snuggly chickens too!  Mine barely tolerate me, and only because I feed them.   ::)

That's really special that they have come to trust you so quickly.

That is VERY good.  I think I'm jealous.  My hens only show affection for meal worms!
When I die I will slide in sideways, a glass of wine in one hand and chocolate in the other, screaming, "Whooo hooo!  What a ride!" as life is to be enjoyed to the fullest!

How lovely is that Jinty. Some hens can be very fussy with their owners.  :)

Oh we have pekins and they do the same, if we sit outside there is almost a fight for which hen will jump up for a cuddle first. The cockerel will sit on your shoulder like a parrot - I think it copied the parrot and the parrot makes chicken noises - I am sure I live in a zoo!!!
Love Pekin Bantams!!!
