Keep your skin covered up as far as is practical, especially during the evenings in summer.

I find that even the cheaper insect sprays or gels seem quite effective on bare skin, and that hydrocortisone creams do help if the first line of defence fails.
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Jungle tropic insect bite stop, always works for me.    Console yourself with the fact that "they only go for sweet meat".     regards and good luck,    Mrs Bouquet

I am very prone to insect bite reactions, and the little * seem to make a beeline for me. Just back from 2 weeks in Mallorca where I got several bites....forgot to pack my deterrents, but did have the hydrocortisone cream to use after the event.

I fish quite a lot in midge and fly prone areas, and use Avon Skin so Soft as first line of defence. It usually works though needs reapplying. Also use a Jungle Formula spray which I'm not sure is still available.....think there is no doubt about the safety of one of the ingredients. However, I take my chances if they are really bad....

I believe that no one gets bitten on any body part that has been amputated.

Sorry, guess I should have resisted that though. ;-)
