For the last 3 years the best thing I have found is a nest box full of blue tit chicks. :tongue2: :tongue2:
The parents do a great job of bug removal. :) :) :) :)

I send the kid next door round with a straw.  When he has got two hundred I give him a pound. He looses count every time.

You can google all the reasons not to use it and come up with a load of spurious links to unproven theories.

I am more than happy that you let me know if any of the references I provide are other than data sheets or peer reviewed documents. Spurious sites are no use to anyone.

Oldbean, this is a family oriented gardening site for people that enjoy a simpler way of life.  I don't think anyone would read the links you provide and not be either befuddled or bored.

I am very used to reading research papers and am a strong believer in thorough, empirical methods of doing science.  However, I don't enjoy being hectored from the bylines about my personal choices.

You need to accept that people have the intelligence to make their minds up for themselves.  You also should be arguing your case on a site more suited to debating the rights and wrongs of pesticide use.

Well if posting links is  confusing and boring to people. and hectoring to anyone recommending chemicals, you'll be pleased that I shan't be posting anymore links about anything. I am grateful to this site as without it I would not have enquired to the same extent as to what I could have been about to consume, and decided I'd be better off not doing. So we've both got something to be happy about.

Happy digging.

Personally I try not to let things bug me too much...  ::)

If there's advice around I'm happy to read it, try to make head and tail of it, and then make up my own mind. Occasionally this might lead to further surfing for an answer.

As long as those of us who read the more detailed / complicated information realise that much of it, albeit based on research, is still not gospel in everyone's eyes.  ???

If it is too complicated or I haven't time then I use common sense  like most people.

I think most of us on here are pretty discerning and will make up our own minds one way or another....so range and depth of notions may both be welcomed. None of it is obligatory.

Carry on posting everyone – in-between digging, of course!!  ;)
