Wahey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The first of many!!!!!!!!
-
I went out for 4 hours...
Nothing's changed :(
Hopefuly it wont hatch overnight (though that'd be my luck!) and will wait so I can watch it tomorrow!!!
-
What's happening now?

Hi
It must be sooo exciting to hatch your own girls :)
I would be very tempted but then I think of all the equipment that is needed and of course what would have to be done with the cockerals that would be hatched :(
So I will just read all the exciting posts that you all post instead. :)
-
You could hatch under a broody?
Oh no! Done it again.
I MUST NOT ENCOURAGE ANYONE TO HATCH EGGS!!!!
-
Evil Jinty!!! You will have us all going down the addictive path of gardens and houses overrun with cheeping chicks and hens!! Baaaad Jinty! :D
-
I agree, chickens should come with a warning "WARNING: addictive" lol

Bad Jinty
Why did my heart skip a beat when I read that!
I did have a banty that went broody for nine weeks last year :)
But still leaves the cockerel problem, I couldn't rear them for meat I'm afraid :(
-
Personally I think those who encourage others to hatch ought to offer to take the cockerels - looks like Jinty will be having a lot of boys to deal with ;)
Bad Jinty :tongue2:

Yay!!! I have a little peep this morning.
The other egg looks a dud though :( So now I'm going to have one chick by itself for a week :(
I'd forgotton how plainitive their cheeping could be! I'm dying to get him out of the hatcher, but he isn't quite fluffed up yet.
When I move him to the brroder, I'll take pics, of course ;)
-
You said him it could be a girl :)
-
can`t wait to see if mine hatch on saturday, it must be brilliant seeing all the hardwork you`ve done end with a little chirping chick :)
