We are new chicken keepers of one week. 2 lovely round red 20 wk hybrids and 2 marans that are now 13 weeks.

Thing is, i don't really know what chicken poo should look like. There are a lot of white and brown stiff turds in the run, that look like they are ok to me. The poo in the house is much darker, but still turd like.  But someone is doing rather watery caramel like poo.

Sorry for the detail, but should i be concerned?

Thanks in advance.
Liv.

That all sounds fine to me.

If you can post pictures of them (yes really !) It would tell us more.

The watery carmel poo could be a caecal poo which is quite normal (they are really smelly by the way) and a bit like english mustard consistancy and colour.

Thanks Aunt Sally,

Didn't photograph them to-day, might tomorrow.
The 'caramel' ones are proper toffee colour and i suppose mustard in consistancy.

Thanks again.
