i dont know alot about this but the arguments in favour of the pesticides seem very flaky to me such as

'the UK Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) argues that these studies were mainly conducted in the laboratory and do not accurately reflect field conditions'

if colony collapse disorder was unheard of b4 the 1990`s and this pesticide was introduced in the 1990`s - seems unlikely to be a coincidence to me.
