I think I've woken up from  some kind of stupor and realised I need to turn the page on the calendar.  Tomorrow is our 'Miss Bossy Boots ' 7th birthday and we've forgotten to send a card!  We've now rushed out and got one, shoved a note (£20) inside and posted it.  We can now innocently say 'but we posted it earlier!'  Will we get away with it (question mark).

We got away with it  because yesterday she 'had' to go to school and today she has had her party.  She is now 'knackered' and going to bed soon.  She opened her presents and cards today while she 'has the time' to enjoy them.  I did ask my daughter how old Isla was and she just laughed as Isla is, and always has been, very serious and has always  acted older than she is.
