I'm having a couple of chunky fishfingers with coleslaw, tomatoes and boiled potatoes.

Nope, I just scoffed four pork steaks, cheesy fries and HM sauerkraut!

What kind did you make?  I have a batch made with plot red cabbage on the go at the moment and I keep munching away at it.   The kraut process has made it a rather fetching shade of dayglo pink

Homegrown white cabbage (can't remember what type without checking my plan) shredded carrot and caraway seeds in as well. I like it with a bit of apple sauce mixed in.

Mrs Growster's coleslaw has to be made using a spud basher, so it takes ages...

Like the idea of a spoonful of apple, P1P, we sometimes do that with a grated raw apple, but then it's almost a Waldorf, so we try and keep them separate!

Always chuck in a handful of flaked almonds and sultanas as well!

I keep a few jars of the shop bought stuff in the cupboard too  Both red with apple and the standard white.  I've finished up the last little bit of chilli for lunch so I might just do a few wedges tonight.

rather wet and misserable for a cold dinner but never mind Pork pie and a mixed salad, yoghurt for pud

I put runner bean seeds, mince, carrots, potatoes, onions, lentils and herbs in the slow cooker, but the bean seeds didn't soften  so I've had to fish them out to have dinner on time  The rest was good though ..

I have some chicken in the fridge but have to admit I'm feeling a little uninspired about doing anything with it. I've already had plenty of rice and pasta this week so it should really be spud based today.

Yesterday, the hard beans I hooked out of Thursday's dinner were cooked until soft then added to some curried veg  and sered with rice and salad bits.
Tonight it's good old bacon, beans, egg and chips  That'll do nicely after digging on the plot today.

Gonna be the last undercover BBQ of the year. The gazebo is being packed away for winter.
Mackerel, caught by me and pork ribs, not caught by me. CHIPS and salad.
My niece is staying over so there will be a fair amount of gin consumed also.
