Hi,
I want to buy an organic compost and want to use a John Innes no 1 this year, have never used it before but heard it is well worth it. Vital earth do an organic one but I can't get hold of it so far here in Dorset. Can you make it up yourself with ordinary organic potting compost ? What is John Innes ? is it just a mix of grit and peat free compost ?
