Magnolias etc
« on: March 14, 2020, 14:03 »
Just an observation.  Many of the beautiful Magnolias, Camellias etc, have been   in flower for many week.    It is the first time I can remember this, I guess it must be because the weather has been so mild over this winter/spring.  I have a good size Fern Tree, and last autumn, I wrapped straw into horticultural fleece and firmly placed it into the crown but left the fronds in situ.   They have weathered through, despite the gales, and are looking pretty good.    I shall not cut them off yet, too risky.
Have you got plants that have benefited from the mild winter ?     regards,   Mrs Bouquet

My camellia's been in full flower for a while now, too  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
