Doc problem.

Have you got a header active as default?

Thanks Plot 1 for bringing some sanity to my post. There is nothing in my headers or footers but it may have come from some text or other ref I imported ages ago. My last pic is on p53 but this half-line only appears at the top of every page from p54 to p58. I tried copying the refs title plus the following refs on p54 onto a new doc page (see previous attachment) but all the ref numbers changed to "1."  If I use Control-End to get to the bottom of the doc I only get as far as the last pic on p53. If I want to get to the end of the doc I have to scroll down from p54 to p58, but if I use Control-Home it takes me all the way back to the index title on p1.
