I read with interest about contaminated horse manure.  My village has just been given a piece of land by a local farmer - what would be the effects on our crops if he has in the past used one of these herbicides on his land.  We don't want to offend him by asking him if there is no problem.

hello cheeselet and welcome, I think it would kill any thing you planted on the land you used it one, i think there are some control type things you can do to test it first like trying to grow something in it before you put it on the land. try searching for horse maunre and i am sure you will get loads of info

I have read a few posts regarding the problems with horse manure and feel a bit worried. Does the problem affect all manure, i have bought and put in a ton already!!

This maybe a daft question, but, can you tell or do you have to wait for the crops to come up before you know?
