Basil, without a doubt.  I grew a variety called "Emerald Towers" last year and it was fantastic.  Each plant makes a pyramid shaped "tree" and is slow to bolt and constantly provides loads and loads of fresh leaves. Needless to say I'm growing it again this year.

Hello I had sage with onions and bread crumbs for stuffing yesterday lunch time and the herb mix that my mum puts in homemade pork pies    jezza

Probably sage, as it adds a lovely flavour for making a great stuffing for your roast and for adding chopped and dry to my homemade scotch eggs.

But do often create a mixed herb bundle of homegrown sage, rosemary, thyme, bay tree leaves, long strands of oregano and marjoram and use a few long bit of chive to string it all together. Just yum in casseroles.
