Hi all not a clue with roses I think there floribundas how do I prune should I cut back close to ground thank you

Cut out all the really skinny, and dead branches, down to ground level.
All the strong branches should then be cut, between 20 and 35cms works best for me, trying to balance the shape.

Remove any that are crossing over each other as well.   Mrs Bouquet

What about feeding them? Do they need a top dressing now or is it better left till spring?

I'd have thought they'd be pretty dormant until the spring, so wouldn't be able to absorb any nutrients applied now?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

The deer seem to prune all of ours until they give up producing new leaves entirely.  >:( :mad:
