I just picked some beetroot and made nigel slater's beet leaf salad recipe with yoghurt and sultanas:

I added some warm beetroot I've just roasted, feta cheese and had it with a roll.

I can honestly say it was one of the best flavours I've ever eaten!  OK maybe I'm getting a bit too excited about it but it was delicious

Sounds wonderful! I've had a few baby beets this year, but they are slow. Looked at them in the farm shop today and they were £1.70 for four medium szed beets with wilted leaves! I left them there!!!!!

Got plenty of leaves though, and always have feta........
