Hard work paid off - clearly.

It was good to note that the skip wasn't filled for you before you got to load it with your own materials to dump! :)

You are making some seriously good progress there LL.  like others have said I am feeling well lazy grumbling over the little bit I've still got to dig over. ::) I'm also loving that wall.... Is it North or south facing? have you made any plans for that?

Peapod  :D - I  have to admit I was "plodding" rather than walking by the time I'd finished and I'm not sure if I was managing particularly straight lines either!  And digging and weeding is just as hard - plenty of that to come ::) :)  But boy did I feel GOOD when I'd finished.

RangerKris - I've been wondering about the roots too....didn't really want to burn them but....might have to - there are going to be so many!  Bindweed roots are really heavy too when you get a big pile going aren't they?!  And you are right - yes, the hard bit starts now!  I've got my spuds chitting ready and waiting!  Your fish and chip evening with the kids on the plot sounds great - I bet they love it!

Bombers - I do love that wall too and really want to make good use of it but it is North facing - any suggestions?  The only thing I have come up with so far is Nasturtiums..oh...and darn it...there was one type of fruit I was reading about the other day that doesn't mind north facing walls and I can't blinkin' remember what it was! Tch!  Anyway - any suggestions would be great please! :)
