They're in the one at Macclesfield too. Wilkos haven't got their's yet. I think they will when they clear the Christmas stuff though.

Probably worth a trip for you dugless.

Also sell loose peas, beans, onions, shallots etc. far cheaper than DIY stores.

Brookside Nurseries,
Cropston Rd
Anstey
Leicester

You can pre-order spuds for collection or delivery here...

http://www.brooksidenurseries.co.uk/sps.php

Worth a ring to check if other stock is in.

For anyone in the North London area the best place for seed pots, loose broad beans, peas, onion sets etc is Clockhouse Nurseries, Forty Hall.
Great value, good quality, nice people
There are 10 other graden centres in the Crews Hill area, amazing choice
Lucky for us its walking distance from our site :tongue2:

Happy seed shopping!

I placed an order with them after you boasted last time DD :D (thanks for that I nearly had my pants pulled down by Marshalls   )

The guy rang me this morning to say he had most of what I wanted but was waiting for a lorry to deliver the rest this week bad weather has delayed things.

I'm sharing my order with my brother and dad so we can split delivery costs.

Is it ok to order your main crop seeds now or is it a bit too early? Don't want to miss out but on the other hand I don't want to end up killing them off if I can't store them properly.

Thanks

Can anyone recommend anywhere in Lancs (Preston/Blackpool area) for buying seed potatoes? Somewhere with a few different varieties to choose from.

I was going to ask them about my order so I'll leave it a day or two!

I get all mine at the same time & never have any problems with them.

Out of interest this is what I ordered, (you can order quantities, rather than weight).

Pentland_Javelin: 64 singles
Swift: 36 singles
Charlotte: 52 singles
Kestrel: 26 singles
Picasso: 44 singles
Sarpo Mira: 44 singles

The rows are 36' and this will give me

1 row of PJ, (rest are for my mother)
1 row of Swift
2 rows of Charlotte
1 row of Kestrel
2 rows of Picasso
2 rows of Sarpo Mira

Blight permitting - that's me in spuds for a year, with a few left over!
