I've been wanting to make a coldframe for ages, but was lacking a few vital parts....namely some wood and some glass!    

I've asked for windows on Freecycle, and someone offered me a couple but then dropped off the face of the planet when I replied saying yes please  :evil: .

Anyway when I was up at the lottie last week I was chatting to one of the other plot holders and mentioned it, and he took me round the back of his shed    :oops:    and showed me a stack of old windows, and told me to help myself! Brilliant!

So...glass down, wood to go. Hmmm  :?

So imagine my delight when a delivery of axes from Sweden arrived at the shop today....all neatly packaged in a palette-type thingummy....and the driver asked if we wanted to keep it!  

So I'm now the proud owner of two of these:



and a flat (almost solid but will need some work) base:



Coldframe...here I come!

Yeah I know but it's a good start! If necessary I'll take apart and use the futon frame that's hiding in the corner of the top photo!

Oh, sorry to disappoint!!! Did you see the pic I posted elsewhere of my teeny weeny carrot?

Edit: that didn't sound so funny in my head when I typed it, was going to change it when I re-read it and realised how it sounded but I think I will leave it for comedy value!
