Planted some chili pepper plants on tues that were looking fantastic-- went to the plot last nite and all the top leaves were  silvery-grey and some were curled up with crinkley edges--help-help=help if you can.

yikes.

I've put mine on the patio and was only going to bring them in if a frost threatened. Is it still generally to cold for them? Should I keep them inside until June/July?

The patio is south facing and right up against the house, so it's well sheltered and a great suntrap.

dont think its the the cold, they only need an average day time temp of around 65-70 and we have had that, what variety are they? funny thing is my bolloti beans are showing the same symptoms, but none of the other ones.

I don't know if you hardened them off before planting, there were some chilly winds around here even day time recently. The patio will be much warmer, Mark.

Saying that, some of my aubergine did the curling up leaves after planting up in the polly and it is very common in tomatoes, without anything to worry about.

I'd give a bit of protection to chiles out there for cooler nights, though.
