How many squash and pumpkin plants?

We grew from a shop-bought organic pumpkin last year - the plants were great as weed cover, had lots of flowers which all fell off & no fruit  
Not sure why, but I have tried a few seeds from shop bought pumpkins and a few from a proper packet of seeds, so I'll see how we go this year (last year was a bit crazy with all the rain - our allotment was waterlogged for a few weeks, so maybe that was why).

The same happened to my squash and they were from bought seeds. It dis set one fruit but so late that the frost got it. I got two reasonably sized pumpkins but the plant was only about a meter long. I'm hoping it was just last year's wierd weather!
