Title: Spent mushroom compost needed
Post by: andy135 on February 16, 2010, 21:37
Does anyone please know of a suppier of spent mushroom compost in the northwest, pref Manchester?
My new half plot desperately needs a lot of humus adding to it for the coming season.
Being new to the plot, I don't have any well rotted manure, and need to bulk up the soil which is looking a bit washed out. I'm thinking of using it on my brassica bed as it already has some lime in it.

Thanks in advance.

also found this which is a mushroom grower and they might sell to you direct, they do round here but it is a really big trailer load so you might need to share it with someone.
