hi all,

my spuds were delivered last week, but i,m just wondering if they will be ok stored in a old fridge? got a spare one in the garage which i can power up and just keep chilled?

and would onion sets be ok in the same??

I would think it would be fine keeping potatoes and onion sets in a fridge as long it was set above freezing. I base my thought on the fact that we keep potatoes in the fridge all the time and the do eventually start sprouting. They probably need to removed a few weeks before they are planted and even longer if you are going to chitt the potatoes.

Set your fridge to about 4degrees and they should be fine. Not sure about the onions to be honest. When you want to chit them place them on a North facing window.
