Hi, one of my girls is poorly.  Her comb has gone grey, she's weak on her legs (there's a step out of the run and she can't jump it), she's got runny poos, and she's generally unwell.  She is still eating and drinking.  We found her lying down in the run this morning  , so brought her in and put her in a box next to the radiator for most of the day.  I gave her some nutri drops earlier, which has perked her up. 

I've put her back out with the others, one of them is picking on her a bit but I'm loath to keep her apart as they can be bullies if one is parted for long.

I started them on a week of Flubenvet yesterday, but she's been a bit off for about a week.  Any ideas would be appreciated.

vets straight away, she is very ill if her comb has gone that colour (possibly her heart). Remove her from the others as they will peck her to death - when they are seriously ill they just lie down and let this happen.
When a chicken shows symptoms of being ill it usually means they are seriously ill as they hide their illnesses very well - it's all part of survival of the fittest

Took her to the vets, she had a temperature of 106, poor thing.  He's given Baytril and Metacam to try and get the temp down.  Fingers crossed she'll be feeling better soon.

She was doing so much  much better, and I took her to the vets today for a second antibiotic shot.  Unfortunately, when by the time I got her home, she had died.   Poor little thing.
