Shallots can take it.

Now is an ideal time to get them in. I'm thinking of doing mine tomorrow, unless Mrs Digger has other plans for me!
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

Hi

Many thanks looks like a plan for tomorrow then. Just another question do you think it will be ok for spring sown garlic as well ?

Cheers

Hope so, I've just come in from planting my garlic (3 days later than last year!)  :)

Shallots will go in as soon as I can get the leeks out of the way!
Sow your seeds, plant your plants. What's the difference? A couple of weeks or more when answering possible queries!

Start your shallots off in trays/pots in a greenhouse or tunnel for a month or so to get a nice set of roots. Avoids any issue with the bad weather

I intended to plant some on Saturday but a check on the soil made me change my mind. It was really wet and claggy so I put it off til it dries out a bit

I planted my red sun shallots today from wilkos so lets see how they do
All the way from my allotment in beautiful Derbyshire. I'm in year 3 of my allotment and wish I'd caught the bug years ago, things growing from strength to strength
