"-and clipped of the runner shoots", I presume you mean 'off' but thant's just being pedantic!
You should really plant the runners into pots while still attached to the parent plant holding them down on the soil with a clip of some sort (ie bent wire to stop the wind moving the plantlets) only cutting them from the parent plant when a good root system has formed.
Carry on with your 14 babies, I should pop them in the greenhouse but don't let them dry out or overwater them. Please let us know the results.
