Really fancy making a traditional american meatloaf with minced beef and tomato sauce.  Anyone got an old fave recipe they can share?

All my cook books have tarted up versions and bewildering array of recipes on line    Just want the basic, homey, deeply satisfying version

Just remember before you put it in the tin  to take a small piece of the mixture and make a patty and fry this to taste to make sure your seasoning is ok
