Title: Hello

Hello

I’m a complete newbie to allotmenteering! I called up the local parish to place my name on a waiting list and got a plot same day... completely threw me off guard and overwhelmed by the amount things needed to get started! I also have a very random question... burning waste is allowed in a specific area on the allotments (not on individual plots) but does that mean I’m not allowed to use a chiminea or something similar as I progress with my plot to keep warm in the evenings?

That’s something you will have to ask you site manager about.

Do visit the web site in my signature link to keep up with the government’s COVID-19 regulations for allotments.

Guess I’m just getting ahead of myself as I haven’t received any information as yet (still early days). I have looked at the covid 19 allotment details from this site as well as the NHS and the local council/parish websites just to make sure I’m following the guidelines that have been set out 😁
