I received an email with questions about using tea leaves from spent tea bags in the garden, so I did a little research on the subject. Things are not perfect but they are improved on a few years ago.

That's a motto to keep in mind - don't let perfect be the enemy of good.  I like that

I have gone back to using loose tea, not always as convenient as tea bags admittedly, as the faffing is at the beginning of the process rather than the end. But I think that if I can avoid the plastic and benefit the garden, it has to be worth a bit of effort. Also helps to reduce the tea intake levels!

I always try to buy biodegradable t bags and just chuck them in my compost bin, I've never been bothered to faff on with loose tea.
