Title: stored garlic has tiny bugs
Post by: spocke on October 14, 2012, 11:15
Hi all,

new to this, but hope to find some help.
I've just moved some of this years garlic in from the garage, and found that there are tiny grey bugs around the root stem... Anybody know what these are and if I need to take any action?

Hi namesake,

I do not know what they are but bugs are never a good thing.  I would look them all over and remove them by hand.

Just another thought, unless someone on here confirms they are harmless I would not save any cloves to plant this autumn.
