I don't think those can be as short as the ones I've ordered, or they would make more of it.  Bizarrely, mine are an old Russian variety which had found its way to the US via an English heritage seed bank.  We shall see!  I actually had no plans at all to grow parsnips, I don't have a "root break" as such, so wondering where to put them now!
