Title: Thirty years...
Post by: Growster... on April 15, 2019, 11:18
It was exactly thirty years ago yesterday, that we bought 'The Turrets' and moved in!

The weather was very much the same, and the excitement back then was amazing! There was a film company in the church doing a Dr Who, and they were also using part of a girls' school down the road for some sort of rooftop chase!

But this little pic of the tulips, the Easter Rose, and the 'foreign' bluebells always reminds me of our first lunch here, with a couple of beers, cheese sandwiches, and a feeling of relief that we were just starting, what turned out to be a lifetime project!

In the pic, there is also a Casino yellow rose, which I bought Mrs Growster soon after, as we'd had to leave one behind at the old place!

How are you going to spend your anniversary, - will it be sitting in the garden again.   Or will it be carrying on with the project   Mrs Bouquet

Oh that's a lovely thing to remember and you must celebrate it in style as one does! We moved in here 32 years ago and all we remember of that night was the gale-force winds that nearly stopped the furniture removal people delivering our stuff and sleeping in duvets on the floor! It's also nice to look back and see what has changed over the years.
