Title: thick jam

can you recover over set jam? the last batch of worcester berry jam has set really thick. can i re-boil it and add water?

You can do that as long as you put into freshly sterilised jars.

I'd agree with the last answer - i had to thin down some lemon marmalade and it worked a treat, if a slightly sticky, messy procedure - worth it though.

thaks for that, i will get the pan back out. then i will try and get the jam back out of the jar :lol:

You can warm the jam to get it out by standing jars in hot water or WARMING in microwave gently
