Shallow Rooted Veg
« on: April 18, 2013, 11:13 »
Morning all,

I have a planter that is about 4 foot by 2 foot and 6-8 inches deep.

Id like to growsomething other than salad in there.

What would be good.

I already have Kohl Rabi and Baby Carrots in the other side of the same planter, so something else.
When weeding, the best way to know if its a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull it.

If it comes out easy, it was a valuable plant !

Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

They're not very deep - you could of course try a few peas as well!

Beetroot would be OK - I avoided replying with onions and beetroot as being being too "salady".

In that case, add radish & spring onions to your list.
