Good morning samuria,

"-and clipped of the runner shoots",  I presume you mean 'off' but thant's just being pedantic!

You should really plant the runners into pots while still attached to the parent plant holding them down on the soil with a clip of some sort (ie bent wire to stop the wind moving the plantlets) only cutting them from the parent plant when a good root system has formed.

Carry on with your 14 babies, I should pop them in the greenhouse but don't let them dry out or overwater them.  Please let us know the results.

Cheers,  Tony.
I may be growing OLD, but I refuse to grow UP !

If you've done what Kleftie said and they're already rooted into pots they should be ok to leave either outside or in the g-house as long as their pots are a decent size so they don't get frozen in cold weather. You could also put them into a box and surround the pots with bubble-wrap.
I work very hard so don't expect me to think as well.

What are you planning to do with them long term? If they are to be planted outside, I'd plant them out now so that they get their roots established while the soil is still warm, otherwise they'll be at a disadvantage when planted out in the spring.

Whether you plant them out now or in the spring, strawberries are very hardy and there's no need to molly-coddle them in the greenhouse.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

confused .com

we have potted our strawberry plants up in pots and there in a cold frame till spring and I have to say I agree with DD on this topic we have previously took strawberry cuttings from the mother plants and had no problem  they also seemed to crop better the second season after planting out but probably that's me
