mouldy pea pods
« on: July 11, 2010, 14:35 »
Both my mangetout and sugar snap peas have a silver sort of mould on the pods any ideas what it could be?
Time waits for no man and I can't wait for growth.

It's usually one of 3 problems. Either the plant has not enough water to support all the production, or the air circulation around the plants is poor, or the plants are standing in water. Or possibly all the forementioned.

Could be powdery mildew, prevalent in hot dry weather.
