Well....as we are moving house in two weeks, the plan was to harden everything off next week and bung in all in the lottie the week after so we wouldn't have to worry about transporting tons of pots and seed trays. (I can just imagine them being dropped :ohmy:)
What I hadn't banked on is the Icelandic temperatures we are being forecast. Should I stick with plan A and hope for the best? Everthing is currently being mollycoddled in the warm conservatory.

I'd just move all the pots up the lottie as near as you can to the moving date and cover them with fleece or old net curtains or poly sheet for a few days until they get planted in their proper places. Hopefully by then the weather will be better.

1) Temperatures near zero are unusual at this time of year but still represent a significant risk to tender plants.
2) Temperatures below zero mean certain death to tender plants.
3) Weather forecasters are second only to politicians for failing to deliver their promises!
You are much further south than I am but at the moment it looks like a close call.................................... :nowink:

I'd follow MoS advice here -- at least they won't be dropped and as long as you can give them some protection you wion't lose 'em all.
Harden them off as much as possible before taking them down there of course.
