"Rabbit proof" fencing.

(1/1)

Little Flower:
Looking for a source of wire mesh fencing (~50M, maybe 900mm wide), cheap and up to the job. Any ideas?

I suppose that the green "PVC coated galvanised" which is cheap is very thin gauge and "electro glalvanised" i.e. BZP under the green coating. Not too keen on any plastic on the allotment anyway, but might have to have it.

greenjay:
I have tried using plastic mesh but they bit through.
I then bought chicken wire from wilko. Not the best quality but good price.
Biggest problem I have is the area by the side of the gate as it opens both ways.

Yorkie:
On a site near me, which is plagued by rabbits, many plots have got that corrugated metal dug into the ground as rabbit fencing. Not the one which has smooth waves of metal about 2" apart, but the one which has straight lines and angles, each about 4" wide. Can't think how better to describe it but it's like this in profile:
