Can anyone help me I have a lovely asparugus bed which has been there now for 3 to 4 years so I'm told (the man who had it before us loved it but left to move to france so I have taken over his plot ( 1 Month ago) ) the bed has lots of bind weed all over it and I'm not sure the best method to remove it please help spending the day up there tomorrow while kids are at school and thought I would try to tackle it then.

I would try growing it up some sticks and then using glyphosate on it

Why do you grow it up sticks does it take the poision better that way? :?

I have same problem and Aunt Sal and co have been very helpful in their advice...

Thanks Slow-worm it was after I posted this that I found you had a similar problem. How is your bindweed now are you treating it.

Let it grow to a reasonable size before you treat it, then it will absorb more of the glyphosate to transport down to kill the roots. I'd say about a foot up your sticks.
