hi everyone

my ducks seem like really fussy eaters, they like their layers pellets but do not seem to like much else apart from kellogs rice crispies which they go mad for, i bought them some mixed corn and duck/goose feed but they won't touch it, i think they forage greens from the lawn##

what else can i try from the kitchen?

Peas, cabbage leaves (chopped up) tomatoes, meal worms, lettuce, cucumber etc.

I have just started with ducks and find that whereas chooks go mad for most things that you throw down and will investigate even if they eventually turn their noses up, ducks don't. I have tried them with all sorts but they just look at me as if to say 'why is she throwing things at us again!'

I would be interested in others experiences.

thanks orchardlady, my ducks have never eaten anything green i have tried giving them, didn't like tomatoes either, they just seem really fussy and  i can't find anymore worms!
heaven knows why they like rice crispies
