Chinese Cabbage
« on: July 12, 2012, 10:31 »
Has anybody ever grown these?  I tried last year but instead of getting them tall and compact as in the supermarket, the leaves spread out horizontally.  I have some ready to plant out now and wondered what I am supposed to do to get them growing vertically.  Am I supposed to tie them up?

Try tying a length of string around the plant as it grows to hold the leaves together. As it grows cut the string and use a large length.  That should give you a more compact plant
