Cockerel attacking
Oh dear - Are you instructing me to get at least 2 more then Roughlee? That will be six sleeping in the cube. What do you think Auntie - enough room if 3 bantams and 2 Sussex and an Isa?

Or maybe I should keep it at four and then get some fertile eggs when one of them goes broody.

Any ideas which is more likely to go broody out of 2 Sussex and Isa and a bantam welsummer?

I lost one last weekend and so I am off to get 3 more on Saturday!!! I thought a Cube can take up to 10?  "The eglu cube is a really flexible chicken house, whether you want to keep 5, 6 or even 10 chickens, you can customise it to suit your needs."  http://www.omlet.co.uk/products_services/products_services.php?view=Eglu%20Cube

What about ex Batts?

Maybe 8 or 10 bantams but not larger breeds. If they were only being kept in the cube and the enclosed run I wouldn't go above 4 and that is with an extension run!

As they are going to have an enclosed run (yet to build) and range when we are at home I think 6 will be a lovely number.

Mmmm ex bats? maybe an idea - will discuss with child concerned!
