Just noticed that my front lawn, quite a large one at 500sq metres has a lot of moss. Doubtless due to shade and the recent very wet conditions. As moss grows throughout winter, am I safe spreading some lawn sand on it now or will it damage the grass?

Hello it should be ok to use lawn sand ,try and get a 1% Nitrogen 4 or 5%ferrous sulphate (sulphate of iron) in spring and summer I use a  1%   N 9% iron  with out weedkiller at 4oz  a square yard  I use low nitrogen so that the grass doesnt need cutting to often ,or theres liquid iron sulphate at 4 oz to a gallon to 10 square yards    hezza
