I know it's silly, but I have a big grin on my face tonight. We have, for the first time, had three proper eggs from three hens. :D
We were getting a bit worried that the black rock was going to have problems as she has had a couple of episodes of laying soft eggs, and was quite poorly a while back. She is bouncing fit now, climbing in all the pots and wrecking the borders, but laid another softy a couple of days ago. Today she laid a (rather large) perfect egg. :D
Not really bothered about getting a lot of eggs, just want happy healthy chooks.

Congratulations. :D
One of our Broody Bantams "Lotty" started laying again a couple of days ago. Her chicks are only 7 weeks old and we caught her bullying one of them today. We have put her back in her old coop on her own which she is not happy about. :(

It great when you start getting eggs from your own chooks tastes so much nicer too :D

Getting three most days now, happy neighbours each side, they've both had a box. Although we don't really see much of them, they both say they like to hear the chooks going about their business.

Congrats! It's lovely having fresh eggs, all that baking that needs to be done.... ;)
I'm not getting many eggs at the moment as all my lot seem to be going broody, I'm going to have to get tough!
