Hydrangea query...
« on: July 30, 2021, 11:50 »
Noticing Mrs B's post about these beauties, does anyone here dry the blooms and keep them inside the house?

We've tried in the past, and got it half-right, but what's the trick to keep the colour please?

I vaguely remember from my flower arranging days that you can put them in a mix of glycerine & water until they’ve drunk it all then just leave them to dry out, you can do beech leaves that way too .

Thank you, Snows!

I'll try that, as the blooms are fabulous at the moment, and while they stay pink, it's still better than nothing!

Mrs Growster is in the middle of dealing with an acre of 'Honesty' at the moment, so I may have to do it!
