Hello all,
I had 6 hens about 2 months ago one died, not sure of cause, lately little by little my hens have stopped laying, I was getting 3/4 eggs a day this has gone to 1/2 a day and the last three to four days I've had no eggs? Any ideas?
Thanks

Traditional breeds, or "ex-batts"?
If they're ex-batts, and were all roughly the same age, they may simply have laid all the eggs they were ever going to lay.

They were bought a few years ago, and were at p.o.l,

are the moulting,or have you changed something drastically?

There are so many reasons. Moulting, stress, age, health, time of year. Make sure the coop is mite free and that they are getting the correct diet. Add a bit of poultry tonic to their food and perhaps worm them as well. If they are a warren type chicken then they only last three or four years anyway. You may have to be patient. You may not get any eggs till spring now.

Agree Snow White :)

I've dusted house down and sprayed it, one of the chicks has no neck feathers I'm guessing there pulling them out?
Any ideas?/advice?

keep treating your coop until you have had a few weeks of being mite free (then treat periodically). This along with the shorter daylight hours will be the reason for the lack of eggs. You may not get anymore until next Feb/March.
