Title: blackcurrant gin

I have been given 1.5 llb of blackcurrants. They are saying gin to me. I am going to search the internet. Anyone got any loved recipes.

I was thinking that some verbena leaves might go well in the brew. but i could be wrong

I've made blackcurrant rum before - don't see why gin would not work.

You put 300g blackcurrants and 300g sugar in a demijohn or large bottle with 70cl white rum, seal it and leave for 7-10 days.  Shake the bottle every day.  You're aiming for a good blackcurrant colour in the spirits.

Strain and enjoy  :)
